After a bit of a struggle with Barnes and Noble, it looks like Amazon's Paperwhite is the undisputed best e-reader of 2014.
B&N's Nook Glowlight is a great reader, there's no doubt about that, but ongoing speculation that B&N will exit the e-reader market (soon) doesn't make it a top choice for most consumers.
Personally speaking, I like the smaller entry level Kindle a lot. I don't miss a touch screen or light - and I like the fact that it is so small and light. It's very handy when I'm travelling.
I also like the physical page turn buttons.
However, at the moment, and for the foreseeable future, the Paperwhite is King of The Hill.
